Description | Paper is concentrated on the selected questions of painted decorations of Liechtenstein residences on Moravia (Plumlov and Valtice). Both residences represent the strategies of constructing ancestral memory. The chateau in Plumlov is with its iconographical program and formal aspects of the decorations connected with similar European princerly residences. This tradition was followed also in decoration programs of the 19th century, as it shows the example of chateau in Valtice, where the paintings intentionally imitate the great baroque glory of the Liechtensteins. |
