Description | Classical mechanics has become an introductory part for all courses of general physics presented on various educational levels. Of course, for its deep understanding, it is necessary to solve appropriately selected problems, especially those focused on direct application of fundamental principles in mechanics – the Newton’s laws. Nevertheless, previous experience indicates that even very simple problems may be difficult for students. One of the reasons may surprisingly be the vector character of the Newton’s laws. This contribution presents a possibility of how to help students solve problems in mechanics in which vectors take place. This can result not only in mastering the given topic in depth, but also in forming systematic approach to solving physical problems in general. |
