Description | The work of bishop Vulfila can be compared with the work of Constantine and Methodius who were classified among the saint patrons of Europe by the pope John Paul II. The article deals with the Vulfila's translation of Bible into the language of Goths from the second half of the 4th century, his creation of the Goth alphabet and standard language, as well as the importance of these to his missionary work and the teaching of Arianism which, similarly to Slavic liturgy, gave way to the European Catholic Latin universe. |
