| Description | Presented paper is a brief discourse of selected theoretical concept, which can be used to analyze an organization's environment (contingency theory, marketing). The main reason for setting the subject of this paper is that the environment in line with research is considered as the independent variable affecting organizational performance, regardless of whether it has a direct impact on the performance or mediated through indirect strategies, choice of organizational structure, etc. the environment of the organization is presented as all the elements outside the organization, which is of concern, however, in a certain way. To be able to work as with environment as with variable, it is necessary to find some typologies of environment respectively to define the characteristics of the environment. The environmental variables can be subjective (perceived respondent) or objective (expert estimates, calculations). |
