Description The study deals with the response of French gardens of the Regency period in the baroque Moravia. We can show some typical examples of the new idea of beautiful gardens in France at that times: a) small private gardens of Paris palaces are assembled into a diverse array of parterres, bosquettes and alleys, among which small water features plays an important role (the United Hôtel de Lassay and Palais Bourbon , built by Pierre Cailleteau , called " Lassurance " / 1655-1724 / and Jean Aubert / 1702-1741 /; b) small pools and fountains form together a complete surface, which can be seen as parallel to areas bosquettes or parterres (extension of the gardens at Fontainebleau , designed by Claude Desgotse / 1658-1732 / ); c ) water surfaces of various shapes are sometimes also directly integrated into the shape of rectangular parterres (Peyrenc Hôtel de Moras - Biron, by Jean Aubert in 1727 ) ; d ) different heights particular areas of the garden are separated from one another not by terraces or artificial enclosure (as before) , but they are unified and balanced with grassy slopes (the German term "Böschungen" ); e ) a part of of the gardens around the fountains are newly built by covered arbors with wooden pavilions (treillage , berceau); f ) the rigid and artificial materials (such as stone, sand, brick rubble ) are generally replaced by natural materials (flowers , grass , wood) or ephemeral (such as a mirror of water, fountains of different heights ); it is necessary to suppress the "art" by “nature" . In Moravia, the success of these gardens encountered especially in Austerlitz (Slavkov u Brna) and in Jaroměřice (nad Rokytnou) in 1720s. The study also recalling that in these gardens receptive site of visitors in relation to his garden and water features played an important role.
