Description | There were studied two assemblages of chipped artefacts: Bojnice I (Prepoštská Cave) and Bojnice III (the Castle Moat). Both collections have some common features, although certain differences appear as well. Local sources (andesite and quartz pebbles) represent the dominant raw materials. Beside them there were used also high quality silicites (radiolarite, limnosilicite, chemosilicite, nummulitic chert) from an area prevalently of up to around 50 km. |
