| Description | A correlation between some aspects of the Sami writer and sociologist Erik Nilsson-Mankok's work and the work of his Czech friend, Sami studies researcher Václav Marek, is to be found. They have both retold the legend of the schoolboy from Vilhelmina in Sápmi – Mankok in his "Epose", Marek in the second part of his trilogy of novels and in his anthology of Sami tales. Both have used the other as a model for literary characters in their novels. However, the interpretational base of the two authors differs. |
