| Description | The subject of the article are Moravian and Silesian anoikonyms in dialect context. It summarizes results of the work on the Dictionary of Moravian and Silesian Anoikonyms, which is being compiled at the Department of Dialectology of the Institute of the Czech Language of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Brno. The first part of the paper presents cases when the dialect forms of anoikonyms have an influence on their onomastic interpretation. It mentions features of dialect phonetics, morphology, and vocabulary. The second part deals with the relation between onomastic and dialect areas. |
