| Description | The paper describes a method for substitution of semi-quantitative values in time series of persistent organic pollutants concentrations from an air monitoring, i.e. the values for which (due to the limit of quantification of the analytical instrument (LOQ)), only an interval is known, in which the value of concentration lies, but not the value itself. The paper also describes implementation of the method in R language and compares results of an application of the described method and two other commonly used methods on four real datasets including 24 different pollutants with a simulated proportion of values below the LoQ. |
