Description | The studied area is situated in the central Bohemia. It is extended in NE-SW direction in a thin lane (5-8 km width) running from Sýkořice to Rokycany. It was possible to determine 3 types of andesitic rocks based on size of the magnetic susceptibility. Two groups has dominant component ferromagnetic particles but the 3th group magnetism is created by paramagnetic minerals. It was possible to determine sense of flow to WNW from AMS results and from position of supply centers. At one locality, the AMS results were verified by bubble orientation. Therefore, it's likely that the maximal susceptibility direction obtained from AMS can represent magma flow direction in others localities as well. |
