Description | The paper offers a new perspective on the history of ethics in law. The analysis is focused on the work of Thomas of Štítný who is thinking over the relationship between law and truth. He uses arguments on the basis of analogy when he compares angelic hierarchy with the secular professions. From this analogy he draws an obligation of professions to behave in a certain way, which corresponds to each profession. For the judges, this means to copy the angels called Thrones, and to judge in equity. |
