Description | Poster was focused on personality and family enviroment in deliquent and intact adolescents (N=219; 51% women; age range 14 - 18 years). Slovak versions of Relationship Questionnaire (attachment), NEO FFI (personality) and CPIC (interparental conflict perception) were used. It was found that families of deliquent adolescents can be characterized as mostly monoparental with lower level of parental education and SES. Deliquent adolescents perceived higher level of interparental conflict frequency, intensity and triangulation. Non-deliquent adolescents reported more frequently secure attachment in contrast to deliquent group with higher occurence of dissmising and fearful attachment. Adolescents did not differ in level of neuroticism but non-deliquents are more extraverted, open, agreeable, and conscientious. Gender differences were found; men reported higher level of self-blame and women perceived higher conflict intensity. Sex (male), dissmising attachment, child-related content of interparental conflicts and self-blame served as significant predictors for deliquency while sex (female), secure attachment and higher agreeableness served as predictors for non-deliquency. |
