Description | This project focuses on the development of a cloud-based simulation and operations research toolkit as a part of an integrated information system for strategic, tactical and operative planning and decision support in the management of disasters. It provides decision-makers status reports as well as information from simulated scenarios and an analysis of future developments of a crisis. In combination with building up shared meaning and establishing a common terminology among multiple actors in rescue operations, this should help to improve the response to disasters and to provide faster and more efficient support to victims by way of a better coordination and cooperation between the former. Moreover, the usage of the toolkit by training administrators helps to identify crucial skills which are required and can lead to a better understanding of rescue operations, especially due to the focus on private and public coordination within this project. |
