| Description | The chapter analysis the decision of ECJ in the case Nadežda Riežniece v Zemkopibas ministrija and Lauku atbalsta dienests. (C – 7/12). This decision interprets EU secondary legislation concerning equal treatment between men and women in employment and occupation and the Framework agreement on parental leave. It focuses, in particular, on prohibition of discrimination based on sex and protection of employees against less favourable treatment or dismissal on the grounds of an application for, or the taking of, parental leave. |
