| Description | All therapeutic approaches, including Gestalt therapy, are currently expected to show their effectiveness through research. Although the mainstream outcome research (Randomized Clinical Trials) is inconsistent with the epistemology of Gestalt therapy, it is reasonable to look for other forms of research that can support Gestalt therapy and its position among other psychotherapy approaches. First, the lecture will introduce the main directions in psychotherapy research and selected results of previous research studies. Then it will focus on the possibility of monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic work in therapeutic practice, including its benefits and limitations. Furthermore, specific tools and methods of outcome research will be introduced. |
