| Description | The article commemorates the 90th birth anniversary of the Brno painter Bohumír Matal (1922-1988). It sums up basic information about the life and work of the artist who – together with J. Kubíček and B. Lacina – belongs among the most important figures of post-war painting in Brno. The article also focuses on the exhibition which was held on the occasion of Matal's birth anniversary in the Museum of the Podhorácko Region in Předklášteří and which was focused on Matal's works from the 70's and 80's. |
