| Description | The essay analyses the way of creation of a literary hero by depiction of his/her intrapersonal and extrapersonal communication in a literary work – as example is taken the hero of Gogols short story The Coat. The analysis proves that Gogol uses the verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal signals in the depiction of communication of the heroes in his short story not only when giving their indirect characterization but also when trying to help the reader to decode their inner experience. |
