Description | The contribution deals with the Partisan group Žiar, a small regional partisan unit, operating during the World War 2 in the central Slovakian mountain range of the same name. The focus is particularly brought on the question of motivation and reasons why people gathered in the Žiar mountains; on the question of their relations and cooperation with the civilians in the area; but also on the post-war interpretations concerning the resistance activities of people in Žiar.
