Description | The chapter analyses the change in the role of teachers within inclusive education. Changes in the structure give teachers the possibility to engagestudents both in differentiated learning groups and individually. Focus is set on teaching students with special educational needs in heterogeneous groups with the use of alternative methods. Cooperative learning and project-based teaching serve as examples. There are two research investigations analysed at the end of the chapter. The investigations took place in two schools; one of them has small mixed classes for students of different age and the other one is for younger students with mild intellectual disability. |
