Description | This chapter discusses the role of nutrition in patients with metabolic syndrome. It is well known that there are many foods, functional foods and nutraceuticals that contain bioactive substances with a potential "pharmacological" activity. Eating foods with a higher content of bioactive substances should be a primary nutritional strategy for each patient with metabolic syndrome. Pharmacological and nutritional intervention in metabolic syndrome in the context of this work can be seen as an interaction with a joint therapeutic target. |
