Description | One of the great connoisseur of the art of the early modern period in the present is in the town of Orvieto living Eduard A. Safarik. From the end of the sixties of the 20th century, he lived in Italy and was in the vicinity of the Roman aristocratic collections to a leading authority and to just such experts in the Venetian painting of the 17th century. Among the artists he devoted himself especially to the painter of the neo-Venetian school of budding 17th century Domenico Fetti (1990, 1996) and the Czech Baroque portrait painters of the first half of the 18th century, Johann Kupezky (2001) in detail. Eduard A. Safarik invites us into his connoisseur texts to up to at least try to look over his shoulder. Maybe someone of the visitors, after he has seen Safariks book, will held in a forthcoming exhibitions at the gallery in a work of art. He will imagine one of the paintings, which was selected for this exhibition, and he will observe it in silence. He comes to this same trip, the leading expert has already gone through. |
