| Description | This article deals with specifics of Islamic banking from conventional banking perspective. Furthermore this article introduced products of Islamic banks with determination of principles based on Islamic law - Shari'ah. In the second part of this article there is treated about effectiveness of Islamic banks and comparison with conventional banks in countries where both types of banks operate. Data of period from 2005 to 2010 are used in comparison of the effectiveness of Islamic and conventional banks. In the conclusion of this article relation between theoretical comparison of legal specifics and comparison of the effectiveness of both types of banking institutions are discussed. |
