Description The publication deals with musical forms issue, seen in the context of the history as well as the technology of compositional practice . The main line, examined by the author is the view at the problem from the point of time organisation in music. The publication presents its own conception of solving this problem in the form of delimiting several possible ways of framing compositional thinking and organization of musical material, and then their subsequent application to the timeline. The monograph distinguishes five basic ways of working with the material and its application to the timeline. It deals with the assignment, monolithic, evolutionary, and recurrent principles and the principle of contrast . These principles are demonstrated on several examples of music paradigm. The book emphasizes that this musical form concept is interesting and convenient for its directness and its general flexibility, therefore.
