| Description | This contribution will evaluate pros and cons of the so much wanted, especially on the part of the parents, early teaching of English. Who are the experts against and who are those for early learning and what are the arguments for early learning? Our great Komenský (Comenius) was not for early learning as he saw the priority in learning the mother tongue first and recommended learning another language only after having mastered one´s mother tongue. Nonetheless, studies of bilingual children show advantages of the paralel development of two languages. Come and make your conclusion yourselves. |
