Description | Acne vulgaris is a chronic non-infectious, androgen-dependent, inflammatory affection of the pilosebaceous unit. Etiopathogenesis of acne vulgaris is multifactorial. Satisfactory armamentarium of medications is available, both topical and systemic; physical therapy is also being used. Treatment of acne vulgaris is usually combined, targeting all the etiopathogenetic factors. |
