| Description | The study deals with the field of environmental education, interpretation, and communication (EE). In the first part, EE is described as an educational process developing competence for responsible environmental education. In the next part, three types of instruments applied for achieving the goals of EE are analyzed: programmes, information services, and supporting materials. The study categorizes EE programmes and provides basic guidelines for programme logic model analysis. In the last part, the study discusses strategies for developing environmental sensitivity, sense of place, ecology knowledge, awareness of environmental problems and issues, and competence for responsible environmental behaviour. |
