Description | This was a contribution to the Key note lecture/3 speakers panel/ sponsored by the International Journal of Urban and Regional Research, entitled "Comparative Urbanism and Post-socialism: experiences and perspectives". Departing from the debate stimulated by the idea to develop ‘cosmopolitan’ and truly ‘post-colonial urban studies’ (Robinson 2006) and a critique of contemporary urban theory, this contribution engaged with the question addressed to the panel – that is “How can urban studies in general profit from a better integration of research on post-socialist cities? (and the other way round)”. |
