Description We thank Dr. Kuwada for the comments related to our study and are pleased to provide specific answers below. Prevalence and Type of Sleep Disordered Breathing in Patients Post Acute Myocardial Infarction: We fully agree that the polygraphy device used in our study does not necessarily allowdifferentiation between obstructive and central sleep disordered breathing (SDB) events. Therefore, we used the overall apnea–hypopnea index, without specific subanalysis for obstructive and central events. Indeed, we specifically note the inability to discriminate between obstructive and central events as a significant limitation of our study.
