| Description | The main aim of this paper is to analyze Šrut's fairy tale trilogy Lichožrouti (2008), Lichožrouti se vracejí (2010) and Lichožrouti navždy (2013)which is based on an awareness of the deep internal crisis of contemporary man, society and the whole modern civilization. The townscape is not interpreted only in terms of various layers, different perspectives, through the experience of space but also in the context of the Czech author fairy tales. The imaginary picture of present Prague varies during adolescence of a hero, it is no longer the place of early childhood adventures. Mysterious corners, deserted places, the wreck on the Vltava river attract criminal fairy tale elements, the homeless, alcoholics. In the Lower Town, the struggles between Lichožrout's gangs and militia are ongoing, there is also an attack the human person and the murder of mythical creatures. The terrifying and catastrophic picture of the fairy tale world soothes the hope for a better future and proclamation of peace. The magical creatures represent human consciousness, which distinguishes between a real and a possible world and which is afraid of ill-deeds. |
