| Description | The book Twenty Years of Local Elections in the CR presents various approaches to researching themes that are tied to local elections in environments where local authorities are highly fragmented. The book summarizes studies that have been done so far and acquaints Czech political scientists with new viewpoints and new research methods that have grown out of work with comprehensive or near-comprehensive datasets of candidates, representatives, votes, councillors, and mayors. We have not gone the route of individual case studies, preferring instead to utilize advanced research methodology that affords greater insight into twentieth-century Czech, Moravian, and Silesian communities. |
