Description | This essay focuses on practical training of high school´s social work from a resilience concept. Its starting point is the historical development of social work, which evolved from deficient models towards social work focused on the strengths of individuals. Strengths-Based Perspective is based on the fundamental assumption that the strengths of persons become natural resources through which they can achieve the desired changes in their difficult life situation. We decided to work with the resilience concept, that supports the person (whether a student, client or social worker) in terms of their strengths and which supports their ability to cope with adverse life situations. Author analyses possible risk and protective factors of field education in placements and discusses possible implications on the practical curriculum education. |
