Description | The European comics tradition, in spite of American comics, doesn't include strong concept of superhero as a man with exceptional and unnatural powers and with a perfect body. European creators make their heroes more human - because of their physical imperfection. These imperfections work as a satirical and critical comment to history and social values. Selected titles and characters illustrate this difference in superheroes aesthetics (Lavenderman, Bantam, Monstrkabaret Freda Brunolda etc.). |
