Description | Two important Eneolithic hillforts (Prostějov-Čechovice - Čechovsko and Ohrozim-Čubernice) are described in the book. Ohrozim-Čubernice corresponds to longtime interval from Lengyel culture III, Baden culture I to III up to the culture with Corded Ware. The hillfort of Čechovsko was settled during the Funnel Beaker culture IB - II and Baden culture I to IV. A huge ammounts of polished tools (754 pieces) is characteristic for it when the roughouts were transported from the surroundings of Brno. That is why the hillfort is believed to be a specialized place for production of polished industry. On the other hand there were found 613 pieces of ceramic spindle whorls. The hillfort of Ohrozim-Čubernice was also focussed on the textil, polished tools were made prevalently of local Lower Carboniferous greywacke and siltstone. |
