Description | the success of Svetlana Alexievich and the debates around her recent won of Nobel prize incline to recognise the vehicles of embedding the Soviet into global and transhistorical trends of mass culture. On the one hand, the article indicates how do the modalities and style by Alexievich reverberate with international trends. The narrative approach by Alexievich is deconstructed by that critical tools which were developed for understanding the compatible texts and trends in Western storage of mass culture. On the other hand, the particular differences of Alexievich’s texts and the follow-up on them disclose the limits of producing the collective memory and relevant narratives amongst those who are post-Soviet. |
