Description | Many researchers tried to describe the phenomenon of the Central Europe with regard to its geographical, religion, geopolitical or cultural-historical aspects in the latest decades. One of the complete concept of this area there has been presented by Milan Kundera in his essay "The Tragedy of Central Europe" (1983). The Kundera's vision of the Central Europe is tight grounded in the Czech tradition (the recalls to Palacký, Havlíček, Masaryk), but he refers also to the events which in the significant way touched the wider Central European Region and in its consequence the whole Europe. And just here his Czech or Czechoslovak point of view changes into the Central European point of view and also into the European point of view. |
