| Description | Most of legal sources related to the use of force derive from the classic con ict State versus State and re ect our experience from the world wars. In the last decade the character of armed con ict has been changed signi cantly; new methods of warfare have been developed; new actors have emerged (mostly because of new and accessible technologies applied in the arms industry). This paper is focused on the role of non-state actors and on the legal regime governing con ict between a state actor and a non-state actor. Theoretical conclusions are applied on the ongoing con ict in the East Ukraine. |
