| Description | Correction of the refractive errors is the most common application field for soft contact lenses. The usage of contact lenses has therapeutic potential also in the case of some corneal defects. Another prevalent utilization is in the cosmetic industry. In this case the medical nature of the contact lens must be emphasized. There are many different materials for contact lens production having various parameters available nowadays. There are recommendations accessible for handling each contact lens type based on the demand for lens replacement and wearing schedules. This study deals with the sanitary and lens maintenance habits of the soft contact lens wearers. The study aims to survey the frequency of the contactologic examinations and the awareness of the contact lens usage risks. |
