| Description | The aim of this paper is to present the possibilities of the sources of knowledge in research of socialist education in Czechoslovakia. The authors focusing in particular on the use of oral history method and archival sources. Concretely they deal with the possibilities and limits of these resources, and the possibility of their complementarity in the study of socialist education. The issue of complementarity of oral history and archival sources is illustrate by specific examples, which are partial results of extensive research titled Everyday life of basic schools in the normalization period as seen by teachers.
