Description | The portrait head of the poet represents an open three-dimensional relief, which “digitises” his face to a monumental form. He is looking at the Old Brno district, turning the back, half-closed part, which copies the features of Skácel’s face in “negative”, to the Castle hill. A viewer is thus, from certain angles, given the possibility to look through the transparent structure of the head. The object is 206 cm high. It was made of 4,500 seamless stainless steel tubes with the diameter 2.5 cm and the length 45 cm. These basic pieces were welded to the final shape by means of the “lost” plaster form in the true scale of the object. |
