Description The contribution addresses on foreign language teaching in Czech Republic in current time, when German is learned after English. The main research question asks how teaching situations in which use of the first foreign language (English as L2) in the second foreign language lessons (German as L3) is evident are organized. The method of analysis – conversation analysis – and its theoretical background is characterized as well as the unit of analysis, i.e. the teaching situation. The preliminary results suggest that English language in German lessons is present in pupils’ and also teacher`s utterances as learning and communication strategy.
