Description | This article gives a short summary of recent development in environmental matters on international scene: The changes introduced and coming after the US presidential vote, negotiation of the TTP, TTIP, CETA and EUSFTA agreements, case law of the European Court of Human Rights concerning environmental issues particularly in Otgon v The Republic Of Moldova and A. and B. v Norway. Furthermore, the article analyses recent case law of the Court of Justice (CJEU) with attention to cases where the CJEU tackled access to information relating to environment on the EU level (C-673/13 P, C-442/14, T-755/14), preliminary questions on public participation and access to justice based on the NATURA 2000 directives (C-243/15), failure of the member states to fulfil obligations regarding conservation of natural habitats (C-461/14, C-504/14), and interpretation of the EIA directive (C-645/15, C-348/15), the SEA directive (C-290/15, C-444/15) and other case law. |
