Description | The Other People is a collection of 12 chapters by authors from a rather wide range of disciplines. The individual essays aim to explore ‘new questions in migration and approach some familiar issues from original angles’. The contributions are grouped into three main parts (I: Migration Studies in the Twenty-First Century; II: Everyday/Everynight Immigrant Lives; III: Toward Justice), and four themes (The Feminization of Migration; Migration as a Family-Related Process; Identity and Conflict in the Immigrant Experience; and, finally, Immigration, ‘The Other’ and Social Justice). |
