Description | At present, emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, which can take many different forms. Research studies, for example, show that therapists and their clients can benefit from routine monitoring of therapeutic change through questionnaire tools. This tradition is more widespread in individual therapy, but it begins to appear in family and couple therapy as well. In this paper, several tools will be presented that can be used for this purpose in family therapy, including a real-practice example. Attention will be paid to the possible benefits, but also to the disadvantages of putting such monitoring systems into practice. |
