Description | The paper presents first results of research that focused on the usage of Facebook (FB) by Czech regions. The paper presents first findings on practices of 11 regions (from the total 14 regions, the Capital of Prague was excluded due to its specifics, data on 2 regions were not obtained through the used tool). The survey is based on research designs presented during the NISPAcee 2016 conference. Particularly survey design used by Jukic and Merlak (2016), Sinkiene and Bryer (2016) and Urs (2016) were considered, but the methodology was adapted in order to reflect types of posts more. The survey was carried out in the beginning of May 2017. It indicates that regions use FB mainly for ex post informing, rather than for obtaining feedback from citizens. Although one cannot expect that the share of consultation of citizens will be the same as the share of informing, calling for participation is rather sporadic. |
