| Description | Histiocytic disorders are very rare – their true incidence is unknown, the incidence of Lahgerhans histiocytosis is estimated about 1–2 new cases per 1 million inhabitants and year the incidence of other related diseases is significantly lower. Into the group of histiocytic disorders the following nosological units are classified: histiocytic sarcoma, tumors derived from Langerhans cells (Langerhans cell histiocytosis and Langerhans cell sarcoma), interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma, follicular dendritic cell sarcoma, fibroblastic reticular cell tumors, indeterminate dendritic cell tumor and the group of disorders related to the group of diseminated juvenile xanthogranuloma with one of the forms classified as Erdheim- Chester disease. These disorders are briefly introduced in the article. |
