Description High-grade serous carcinomas (HGSC) are group of ovarial, tubal and peritoneal tumors arising from precursor lession most likely from distal part of the fallopian tube. At the time of diagnosis of HGSC are women affected with metastatic sprej of the tumor into abdominal cavity with 5 year survival of 10-30%. Among women with increased risk of HGSC (the most with BRCA mutation) witch underwent bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is 4-17% diagnosed with STIC (serous tubal intraepithelial carcinoma) or with invasive neoplasia a aproximately 80% those tumors are found in ampular part of the fallopian tube.
