Description The goal is to describe information literacy education in Czech libraries and explore the educational needs of teaching librarians. Educational content was described according to the Media and Information Literacy Competency Matrix. Questionnaire results were compared with the other countries of the Visegrad Four. The majority of Czech teaching librarians (62.9%) have their own conception of the topic and continue to use the same, mostly traditional methods (lecture, discussions, individual exercises). The topics most often addressed cover MIL Component 1 (Access), while topics under MIL Component 3 (Creation) occur least frequently. The results of all countries were fairly similar, although some significant differences were also found.
