| Description | In our presentation we focuse on the energy efficiency of cooking and baking. We tried to design and construct an economical kitchen appliance that you do not buy in kitchen utensils shop. While it is not possible to compete with a kettle in the efficiency of water heating, there is a huge potential for meals that require a long preparation time - such as cooking legumes or beef. Very uneconomical are conventional gas and electric ovens or electric remos without thermal insulation and temperature control. Our equipment uses electricity from the mains or from the battery, has a thermostat and insulation. We have made several devices with different design solutions; we present the device, compare its efficiency, advantages and potential disadvantages. |
