Description | Now it is exactly forty years, when the photographic work of Josef Sudek (1896-1976) was presented for the first time in the context of Sudek's own art collection. It happened two years after the death of this enigmatic personality of Czech art, in connection with the transfer of part of this extensive artistic collection to the National Gallery in Prague. The study returns to the previously practically unreflected question of the character of Josef Sudek's art collecting behavior and the fate of his extensive, distinctive collection. |
