| Description | The evaluation of cooperation among key stakeholders from the public and private sector is in the centre of interest of many researchers in tourism. The level of this collaboration, its barriers, and potential opportunities are explored by employing of interviews, questionnaire surveys, or inter-organization network theory. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the level of cooperation among tourism stakeholders in the micro-region of Olomoucko. It should also contribute to the identification of opportunities, which would improve the current state and help to overcome barriers to entry into cooperative activities. Own research in the selected destination was conducted in 2017 employing questionnaire survey and interviews. A sample of 168 tourism stakeholders was involved. According to the results, the micro- region of Olomoucko has prerequisites for the development of cooperation, especially due to the relatively high mutual trust and activities of the local destination management organization. As a major barrier to increasing the level of cooperation, low awareness of the benefits of the cooperation can be considered. |
